The Commonwealth Games 2010 are scheduled to be held in India specifically Delhi from 3 October to 14 October 2010. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Delhi. This is the time that the Commonwealth Games are being held in India and the second time the event is being held in Asia.
The first phase of ticket sales for the Commonwealth Games 2010 have begun and the The Organizing Committee Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi has mailed all the Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) the details including the prices mentioned in the ticket purchase form. The CGAs could purchase their tickets in the first phase which is from November 15 to January 10, Second phase of ticket sales is from January 15 to 31 March and the last opportunity to grab a ticket for the Commonwealth Games is from May 2010 till the Common wealth games begin. There would be 17 games held in six venue clusters and five stand alone venues
There are about 1.7 millions tickets which would be on sale till the start of each event so you can get your ticket from the venue itself keeping in mind that tickets are subject to availability. The ticket sales program would be help from April 2010 onwards and the effort would be to sell tickets to every possible individual who wants to witness the Commonwealth Games. Tickets would only be available through official Delhi 2010 sales channels and the Games website making it difficult for people to get fooled by fraudulent tickets.
